An end-to-end solution for century old infrastructure

Overview
A major public utility was in a mult-year process of updating and unifying its processes across the country, starting with the Northeast region which has some of the oldest infrastructure and data going back to the 1800s. They are responsible for installing, maintaining, and regular inspections to assure safety and quality for millions of households.
This project focused on the inspections side of the business which needed a full solution for supervisors to schedule work & monitor progress, and for field technicians to conduct the inspections which happen inside or outside of customers’ homes.
My role
As the UX/Product lead on this project I worked on all aspects from early-stage discovery and concept testing, interviews and field research, to MVP definition, UI iteration, design system creation, and then to beta launch, user testing, and design updates.
Throughout the project I worked very closely with research, engineers, business analysts, PMs, and many stakeholders from workers in the field up to VPs overseeing the project.
